Dear Yanira, exactly one month ago I decided to follow my heart and adopt you. In the meantime you have been with us for almost 3 weeks and you are part of the family: a lovely sister for Lucera & the other animals, and a sweetheart for us. You remain a "work project" but day after day I see you growing and blossoming more, you are a real example of the resilience of this beautiful breed. When I get up, you do a minute-long happy dance, maybe we'll win Belgium's Got Talent together one day! Dinner time is the highlight of your day, the kitchen and storage area are not safe for you and your stealing skills. You like everything, but bread and butter biscuits are clearly number 1 with you. Since this week I also notice that you are a shoe addict, my sandals are clearly your sweetest hugs. You are also gradually moving more and more into the garden, you follow Lucera in the bushes, but just as well you wait for me at the garden house when I get chicken food, then I see your paws through the window of the cat flap ... so cute! You have your cuddle moments in the house, then you want all the attention and you even dare to push Lucera away sometimes, a "free hugs and kisses" sign around your neck would not look out of place.
I could describe you here in full and in detail, but I already know, I couldn't do without you anymore. You have laid heavy hold on our hearts, but your love makes us all the richer.
love you baby xxx

I was asked if I wanted to take care of this beautiful lady for 3 weeks so that owner could recover from his heart surgery , I said yes , immediately fell in love because she was so sweet and so affectionate , after 2 weeks her owner spoke to me and said : heidi wil you don't adopt her? I have never seen her so happy ... I was speechless ... because there are already some dogs here and my mom thought this was enough .. after a number of adoption candidates I managed to convince my mom that this beautiful baby could stay here

Hello, I'm Ziggy and I was in a killing station in Spain, I was just under a year old at the time. Joelle took me out and took care of me until I could come to Belgium. In the meantime I got the necessary injections and also a haircut to get rid of my 'dreadlocks'.
Erwin and Ward came to get me together with other dogs and in the meantime I am in my forever home where I live together with my mom and dad, big human brother, 2 tough dog brothers and 3 galgo sisters. So I'm the youngest at home. I am very active, but also affectionate, loyal and a real watcher. I am not afraid of anything or anyone and I am a daredevil. I like to walk very much and go swimming with my big brother, who tolerates a lot of me and also takes care of me.
My mom and dad think I'm funny.
I'm only too glad Joelle got me out of that killing station, otherwise I wouldn't have known love and fun at my young age.
Thank you very much for giving me life.
Sturdy leg from
Tough Ziggy.

My testimonial:
I Amir, was rescued from the streets along with my mom and brothers and sisters.
My mom lost her eye at the hands of humans.
In the meantime I was also traumatized, scared, insecure and shy.
After spending some time with GDS in Spain, I was getting ready to meet my new family.
I was flown to Belgium.
I crawled into the corner of the box I was traveling in. Felt alone, was stuffy and was shaking on my legs.
I ended up with people who still had dogs from Spain and Belgium.
Very slowly after having a lot of patience with me I dared to look at people and I liked to be petted.
But when I heard a strange noise at the door and other faces came in, I trembled all over my body.
It took a long time before I went out on a leash with a harness on.
I was scared but supported by my adoptive brothers. 3 years later I dared to go to people who came to visit.
I am now a big man and very happy, love Amir

We had lost our hearts to the galgos in Spain for a while and had 2. They are super dogs, despite everything they have been through they continue to love and are sooooo grateful. When I was volunteering at GDS in May last year, I had a coup de foudre with Todd, who had been in the shelter for almost a year and a half. I was asked to contact All4dogs to arrange everything .... which I did immediately after I got home . A super team, good info, could ask anything almost day and night. In July 2017 Todd came with the All4dogs transport to Belgium just great, number was there. But this was not the end noee, in November 2017 I fell in love with a little Italian that I met at GEF. We had some questions, if this will work with the 3 big ones, especially when we are working, but here too we were assisted with advice and assistance. And last Sunday 28/1 he arrived with 20 others. She's just a cutie and she's doing great with the other one. All4dogs is a super team with 1 important goal : to save dogs from a terrible situation in Spain but also Belgium . The slogan Don't shop adopt is really what we have to do, the dogs are so grateful, you can only experience it if you do it.❤️ Natascha and Patrick
July 2017 and January 2018

Here he is Sky our first wind child, you came to us unexpectedly dear darling, you give us so much love and bring so much joy to our house, we never want to lose you again. thank you Joëlle from all4dogs for giving us this sweetheart, we will be eternally grateful to you.😍😍😍❤❤😘

Here he is our Zappa, he was so beautiful that I immediately wanted to adopt him, he is so affectionate and so loyal, I am so happy and happy that he now has his golden basket with us.😍😍😍❤❤❤

In February 2017 we adopted our first galgo from Spain through All4dogs. We were anxiously awaiting the arrival of our Luca, because we already had 2 dogs (French Bull and one Dalmatian/Danish Dog cross). While waiting, we were constantly informed about our girl and we were sent nice photos. Everything went very smoothly. When we asked questions, they were always answered immediately.
When the time came for our girl to make the trip to Belgium, we were able to follow the entire journey, which of course made it super exciting.
And then she was there. Erwin and Joelle from All4dogs arrived in Belgium with the rescued dogs. Very emotional to experience such an arrival.
On arrival we were accompanied and we could also buy material (leash, collar, harness,...). There were members of All4dogs taking pictures which was a nice memory. In the meantime, our girl has been with us for almost 1 year and she is doing well with her 2 brothers. She got 2 more galgo sisters and is still waiting for her little brother who was waiting in a killing station for the final injection. We are happy with our offspring. The love we get from them is indescribable, and All4dogs remains available for any questions. It is an association that goes far to stand up for the animals. Such a nice group of people.
I am happy and honored to be part of the team in the meantime.
Thank you All4dogs

After we adopted our Luca in January 2017, we caught the galgo virus. Luca was the tranquility itself. We didn't know we had her in the house.
Then we saw the photo of Shari on all4dogs. Chained in a barn with only the choice between lying or standing. Sleeping on branches and bone-thin. Joelle, together with some nice ladies, made sure that Shari was taken away from her galguero. She was bone-thin and had to gain weight before she could make the trip to Belgium. Then it was time. Saartje is our frightened bunny. She is afraid of everything and everyone. We also have to be careful with her, but now, she has been living with us for 10 months and we still see them growing.
Saartje was very private, but slowly comes to us. Now she even sleeps on our lap.
She is only 2 years old and will have a nice long life here full of love and hugs.
So glad Joelle and Erwin had her taken out of there. Saartje is a beautiful animal, who, in addition to her fear, also shows her happiness.
Our sweet darling.
Thanks all4dogs. You really made the difference for Saartje.
Thanks from Louis and Nancy

One day I see on the page of all4dogs a half wirehair that was found on the street. She was so beautiful in color and I was head over heels in love. I have watched the accompanying video 100 times. I couldn't think of anything but that beautiful animal, phone to Joelle and sure enough, our Penny came to us. She arrived by plane, accompanied by 2 beautiful ladies who took very good care of her.
Once at the airport, there was an immediate click. It was as if Penny had always been with us, and it seemed mutual. She became my shadow and my soul mate, we are like yin and yang.
Penny is an adventurer, she likes to be outside.
Thanks to Natascha she arrived safely in Belgium and thanks to Joelle everything was arranged down to the last detail to be able to give our 3rd sweet darling mountains of love.
Big thanks to Natascha and Joelle and Erwin.

Mira(Night)
She came into our family on March 10!Mira a beautiful black girl, always cheerful, very alert and first everywhere
She loves to tease and challenge her brother and sister. Even the cats are super fun. From day one big friends 💗💗💗
We can't miss her anymore, follows me everywhere! They are such grateful animals, quiet in the house and sometimes a bit goofy in the garden 😂💗❤
Thank you Joëlle and Erwin from all4dogs for bringing this treasure to us.
March 2018

H ow our galgo life once began,
After several conversations with Joelle, and getting acquainted with her beautiful pack, I was sure that I would also like to bring such a sweetheart into my home.. Joelle soon found out that 2 brothers were heavily sheltered by gypsies.. they were starving and were kept as prey for the fighting dogs to learn to bite.. joelle made sure that these 2 treasures could come to Belgium to recuperate and thus still have a beautiful life.. on arrival I saw a small, very skinny white dog. ... not enough strength to walk well .. but these puppies trusted their lives in our hands. He got the name chase from my son.. We started at home with many small portions of food, and help chase to get stronger on the legs.. day by day you saw chase blossom and get better.. what gave us that a good feeling.. he grew up with our oldest son and our pitbul ty.. he looked for warmth in his big brother.. we were left with a beauty of a dog.. both inside and out.. after our difficult starts with a positive ending he still remains my baby.. even though he is now the biggest baby in our house 😍😍 here are some pictures from then and now..
Greetings Ines, Christof and his 3 human brothers

The story of my galgos starts in September 2016 when our jinny came to us. Because my English bully had died so suddenly, my daughter requested a galga for my birthday from us jinny, she was very scared and sure of my husband who thought it was so bad .Meanwhile I have become a team member of all4dogs and on our site was our lin galga who was not afraid of men and yes February 2017 lin will join our family .September I get the question from our joelle if I didn't like that little one white puppy poulette to adopt and yes we were expecting our nilo again (that's his name now) and in October he was the spring in'tveld. November 2017 we went to Spain with six team members to visit shelters, I certainly didn't think I would adopt more with a puppy at home but Fred had thought differently about that, the last shelter he comes to push me and wave his paw and yes I am completely lost. January 2018 our bruce th uis, I now have two galgos and two galgas and I don't regret it for a second thank you all4dogs for my darlings and that I can proudly participate in the team

Testimony from Chica and her owner 😍. When I came to Belgium I was very anxious and didn't know what was going to happen 🐾. Then I ended up with my new mom and dad and suddenly had a human sister ❤. I am so spoiled and so happy with my new family 🐾. I really couldn't wish for anything better. I also wish that to all my other fellow sufferers so that they also find a golden basket ❤. A big 🐾 from Chica

At the end of 2017 I got to know All4dogs through a colleague at work. The wonderful projects in various shelters in Spain were told with great enthusiasm.
I already had an adoptive dog from Portugal ( Mitch ). When I learned that sometimes foster families were needed to temporarily take in dogs, I applied. Not much later I was asked to take care of Thaïs as a host family…
On March 11, 2018 I was allowed to pick her up in Sint Truiden. When we got home, we were kindly welcomed by Mitch. The chemistry between the 2 doggies was immediately good!
Firmly convinced that I could let her go if suitable adoptive parents were found, week after week it started to get harder to think about this. When we were all on vacation for a few days, all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place… Thaïs was the perfect addition to my family and would get her final golden basket here!
The practicalities were quickly arranged.
Thaïs still has her fears, but her self-confidence is growing every day. If I have any questions about this, I can always contact All4dogs.
In short : Thaïs is sweet, a sock thief, cuddler, walking buddy, nice company….one of the best decisions I've ever made to include her in my family!

A little over 3 weeks with us now. I could already write a book about it. When she got here her eyes were a bit "broken". Meanwhile she is a happy girl. The car is still a work point. Don't like them that much. In the shelter she had an anti-scarce food bowl. That is no longer necessary. She eats once a day like the others and waits patiently from a hidden distance to see if there is anything left. She tries very carefully to come to play with the other but is not quite sure how to do it yet. She welcomes me so cheerfully every morning. Even if you come from outside. She loves to be close to you. She picks up language very well ... She already understands a number of words. My family is now complete

About two months and a half ago, our family was expanded with Jules. Jules is a Mastin Espanyol and was first called Bart (after Bart Simpson!). We would soon notice that he had the tricks of a Bart.
Day 1, super brave mastodon who didn't want to get in the car, he doesn't like to do that yet. Didn't like the food I served him, luckily a sweet here and there (wafers 🙂). He is still a fussy eater. Chunks only mixed with Paté, with rice (preferably fried rice or noodles), fried sausage, chicken breast and cervela (with garlic)... So I am quite busy cooking for the dog. Night 1 : We had part of the kitchen, we have quite a big house so it had plenty of room, for him with a shelf. In the morning that shelf was flat, all my flower pots had been removed from the windowsill (Yes! Taken off, they were upright and were still whole) and Jules was sitting on the windowsill! Where he could no longer, or dared to go. That it is a "hero" will be further revealed. By the way, it's just starting to rumble in the distance here (thunder coming) and Jules is almost glued to me, he's already panting and that immediately becomes trembling. A bear of a guy with a small heart. Now, to continue on those nights, every time flower pots on the floor, meanwhile he wanted all the windowsills. Then started to leave a light on and it got a little better. I already put my favorite plants aside in the evening. this only worked for a while, when I went to sleep he started panting, shaking, he got palpitations... And now he sleeps with me upstairs in my room. First big problem to get him up, down took an hour and a half. it's just not a dog that picks you up and carries you down the stairs. In my room there is now also a night light, because our "hero" is really afraid of the dark! So also separation anxiety, sleeping upstairs helps, but when I take my children to their room in Leuven on Sunday evening, the lights are on downstairs and the radio is on for him. I once got (a bit) angry about those windowsills, with the result that he didn't speak to me for three days (don't look at me and don't eat...). Sensitive man, those big lobes. Every day we go for a walk, with the daughter he has to walk a lot, with me he adapts to my much slower pace. He loves walking, he wags his tail at the word (yes, he is learning Flemish). Once I was stupid enough to give him the pleasure of racing loose in the fields. I'll never do that again, because I couldn't hold it anymore. he would always walk about 200 yards ahead of me, stop, turn around, and laugh squarely at me, and then walk on again. so he was home a little earlier than me. Fortunately, he knew the way. He also had to be able to get along with cats, because we have four who have been masters in the house for years. They are not friends yet, but he is no longer so afraid of it (Hero!). Our tomcat Lenny soon realized that and he would lay himself in the doorway, and Jules didn't dare come in anymore. Meanwhile, he looks the other way and carefully walks past it. He is otherwise super sweet and so calm, rarely if ever barks, greets strangers from a distance. They are allowed to pet him, even if they like, but he does not insist. I think that's sweet. although I like dogs, I don't like a dog jumping up on you. So he has manners . Handles the few sweets he likes very carefully, and the cats can eat from his plate. Is very careful with children who come to visit. Every day we go out to play in the garden....I play, and he lies down! Stroking, stroking heavily, even scratching his entire body, and preferably on his tummy. If he sometimes breaks something again, or steals (blankets, pillows, clothes from my daughter) or does not want to eat for days, or is so overly afraid or so emotional (bleiterke) then I sometimes think "what have I done again" " I should not have thought a little longer whether I wanted a dog again "...but then .... you know it, look into those faithful eyes, does that paw (paw) go over your leg leg of 'toe , pet me ' and you see that that beast actually trusts you completely, and likes to see you. I then think, he does not want to get in the car because he is afraid that he has to go back to the shelter. Or he doesn't like the warm weather because it reminds him of Spain

August 2017, I got the chance to adopt a beautiful girl. Whose owner was seriously ill, vita is my name, I had been in Belgium for a few years, my boss was so very sick that he died a few days later 😭 I felt so unhappy, I saw my new mom at the playing field together with 2 brothers loewie and arthur (pugs) man man what a crazy boys they are 🤗 but I liked them, so I thought it will be fine, together with mom and joelle I also went to say goodbye in Tongeren from my owner 💔 now we are 9 months further and I really like it here, in the meantime mom has adopted a few suckers from Spain, my first galgo sister came in September (sia) she was a meager pile of misery, not anymore of course , we get a lot of sweets 🤣 in November brother came he also had a lot of misery, he has a lot of scars but we don't mind, for us he is a handsome boy with a heart of gold, a few months after mom was in love again 😍 on little marie, she is very afraid of v strange people, but at home with us she is the greatest rascal, thank you to everyone, all4dogs the people of the shelter who gave us the chance to find a home, many kisses from vita, sia, garcia and marie

Arzu, came to Belgium as a small puppy of 4 months. He was the beginning of everything 💗
It happened, we were infected with galgoitis
He comes along with siblings from Rota Spain they were ceded by a galguero.
We didn't want to wait for a transport, flew him over.
At first it was exciting, there were doubts.
Selecting a dog on photo 😓 would this work in our pack. What if this..., what if that...
It was time, finally he was there 💗💗💗
My husband who was against it at first turned like the wind and said within 2 weeks, let's adopt another one. Save a life.
We have not regretted this for a second.

argan
I was found on abandoned property with my mom and siblings.
I was soon adopted and ended up in Belgium.
I am welcoming with open arms, I have brothers and sisters.
When I arrived, what I was a little boy of 4 months old, I immediately clicked with Amir my older brother. We played together for hours but when strange people came over Amir changed and fled outside, I always ran along.
I have been in Belgium for almost 4 years and copied my brother's behavior. I don't trust people easily, only when I've met them often enough and I'm sure they're ok I carefully come closer. When the bell rings I quickly walk to the back door and open it so that I can quickly flee from strangers.
I am a super sweet, good boy with my mom and dad.
Love Argan

My life as a puppy was not so beautiful.
I hung on a concrete wall with an iron wire around my neck with my brother Chase.
The gypsies didn't look at us and barely fed us, we were infested with fleas and slept on the floor.
One day we were released, we were bone-thin, we would normally be used to train dogs for fights, we were trembling with fear and hungry.
Our skin was blood red from the bites of parasites.
They took us, me and my brother and about six men from the camp.
Suddenly a car appeared and two women got out, red with anger. She grabbed us, swung us into the van and left.
It took a while before the car stopped again, sliding doors opened and suddenly she was there, my mom. She gave us water and food, me and my brother gobbled it up. Mum was upset about our condition, we were taken to a vet for a time to drive. She said she won't make it, but she didn't know we were fighters. Again mom took us and took us to another vet we were treated for fleas and got a chip and jabs. Then she took us to a lady who would look after us until we could travel to Belgium. We were well looked after, given a bath, were allowed to run loose, play and had full stomachs.
The time came for me and Chase to travel.
In the meantime I have grown into a big guy who loves my family very much and especially my mom who took the risk to save me and my brother from the gypsies.
Indy

hope
We were visiting the shelter and was attracted by hope, a few weeks later she joined our pack.
Hope came from the puente genil region, not the most animal-friendly region of Spain
Hope was an easy girl who adapted quickly.
Was also accepted in the pack within 2 weeks which is fast.
It is therefore a submissive type.
Of course she also had pranks because after all, they never lived in the house, but with some time to put in it it was quickly okay.
An adoptive dog needs some correction, attention and above all a lot of love.
You get so much in return

lola
We were contacted and urgent care was needed for 4 galgos, they would be put to sleep.
Here it was quickly decided within our family that she could come into shelter, whoever knows us already laughed in his hand with "in shelter".
Lola came into our family, was a bit more difficult she is dominant, towards people super within our pack it was an adjustment. For 1 month she was fed separately from the pack, she slept more than 5 weeks apart.
But we bit through, meanwhile it was of course our girl and not our keeper.
We corrected her if necessary, were firm and correct with her. She understood what was possible and what was not possible, she gradually found her place, her place in the hierarchy.
We are proud of her and our Lola has been living here for years, she is a beautiful girl, an example who goes on home visits for adoptions and always steals people's hearts.
Lola we are proud of you
💗

jero,
a playful boy in the shelter it was different he was scared and languished, i was asked take him please put him in your pack, totally unexpected.
I said sorry at first No, have enough.
This kept wringing in my heart, in consultation with our family we decided he can come.
The van opened after their long drive, and Jero came out, anxious and unsure. 10 cm smaller than what he is. We had to isolate ourselves from the other people.
Once he got home he crawled into a corner and slept for hours on end. The next morning we came down and found a happy dog. Jero is our clown in the pack always sweet, crazy and friendly.
It is a beautiful dog who never seeks trouble, he is everyone's friend.
Jero boy glad we gave you a home after all 💗

Roxi
I heard from Katia about All4dogs and all the dogs that were there looking for a golden basket. She showed me pictures of Malfoy, a dog that has been in the shelter for a very long time and is apparently somewhat 'invisible' and broke my heart.
Still doubted for a long time: what if it doesn't click with my other dog, wouldn't I better get a puppy, ...?
Finally took the plunge, I would adopt Malfoy. But… unfortunately he didn't pass the cat test, he doesn't like cats at all and since there are two around here, he wasn't the right match for me. Big disappointment!
But don't worry for long, Katia already had another dog in mind for me. She sent me a photo and I was immediately sold. Roxi (then still Fortuna) was found on the street, very scared and at first not approachable, but with a lot of patience they had caught her and placed her in a foster family (for which thanks, Anita, because she was very much loved by you ).
Again anxiously waiting because Fortuna also had to pass the cat test and she did it with flying colors! I got to enjoy a video! Nice dog!
Then it was only a month before she finally came with Erwin and Guy to Belgium. The moment the van hit by a car is indescribable! Finally!
Meanwhile, Fortuna was renamed Roxi and she is doing very well! Roxi is still a bit insecure and still very scared now and then but she is making giant strides!
Roxi is a sweet cuddly toy, she is very grateful! A very happy and happy dog!

Icaro
Icaro the chocolate brown Galgo, 2 years this 7 year old boy was in a shelter in Rota, exactly invisible.
No one noticed him or offered him a home.
Until Gef Malaga took him there. He had been there for a while when we decided that we would give him a well-deserved golden basket.
Icaro is a super calm male who likes to have a soft spot, he is still invisible in the sense of you don't notice that he has joined.
Icaro is a scared boy, it took a long time before we could hug him.
He was also startled every time you came too close to his head.
Icaro boy you enjoy your retirement and we love you💗

Connor
Was issued as a 5 year old male to be put to sleep.
However, he was not sick or aggressive.
He was discarded, thank you for his services.
The vet contacted the shelter who went to pick him up.
He came to live with us, a few days later he was potty trained, hopping around happily.
He has recently also found his way to the dog pool, he is enjoying his retirement in Belgium.
Connor is not dominant, with everything happy and everyone friend.
He sometimes steals food, but often has an empty stomach.
💗💗

With our three cats and our two dogs, ARGO and GOMA, our family seemed complete. Little did we know that this was not yet the case.. One day Joëlle Merinsky told us that she had received a call from a shelter in Toledo (Spain) with 150 dogs that were almost without food. A call for help. Together we looked at some pictures when Tommy caught his eye on a small white dog, which was a bit of an odd breed, along with her two sisters. Joëlle told us that Nana was a wire-haired Podenco Ibicenco, a not so common breed. Sure enough, with a mutual look at each other, we knew that Nana would be welcome in our family. And the inspirers of All 4 dogs rushed to Toledo with a van of food for the other dogs and Nana would come to us. We were happy and relieved that she had survived the long journey well and although she was very thin, from that day on a beautiful life would begin for her, full of love and care and never hunger again. Meanwhile, Nana is a carefree puppy with 'pranks'. She is now at school, yes yes, our girl is following the puppy course and when she is finished we will also have her follow an obedience course 🙂 Together with ARGO and GOMA our pack is now complete. Thank you Nana, you cheerful jump in the field, you make us happy every day with your carefree cheerfulness.
Kao, a podenco ibicenco, was found malnourished in the streets and was so weak that he could barely stand. Galgos de sol took him under their wing. A lot of time was spent trying to give him back his powers. He also worked on his fears.
Thierry and Anette who have experience with the breed fell in love immediately.
Once Kao had recovered and was ready to travel, he was allowed to come.
As anxious as he was, he immediately clicked with Thierry, who had a tremendous calming effect on him.
It was the perfect match for both of them 💗💗💗
Thierry Brasseur and Annette Hanssen-Brasseur in grand merci pour adopte Kao
Jaguer was dumped as a whole boy puppy, he roamed the streets of Malaga alone
How heartless can some be?
He was only a baby, luckily someone noticed him and ended up with galgos and familia via Protectora Malaga.
Corrina and Kevin adopted him, he grew into a handsome big boy.
He has been living happily in Belgium for 1 year and half now
Thank you for this
